What is the most significant difference from conventional dentures? They are not removable.

Types of implant dentures
While there are a few differences between the various manufacturers, implant-supported dentures often come in three primary forms: removable, fixed or hybrid.
There are removable overdentures referred to in our world as implant-retained dentures. This kind of implant denture can be removed from the mouth at will, whether for cleaning or sleeping.
In comparison, fixed implant-supported dentures are permanently attached to the mouth and are typically cleaned and maintained like natural teeth.
What are implant dentures?
You might have heard of dental implants and their superior ability to replace missing teeth naturally and effectively.
But did you know that we can combine implants and dentures to provide you with a more cost-effective, fixed smile?
How they work
The hybrid options will use a configuration like a metal bar to lock the implants together to ensure chewing and biting forces are distributed evenly.
Whilst the hybrid needs to use more implants, it will create the necessary stability to chew tough steaks and other impossible foods with dentures.
The hybrid denture also allows the acrylic palate to be removed from the upper denture, which means patients can experience improved taste and texture of foods.
Why they're better
Fixed implant-supported dentures, sometimes referred to as fixed implant bridges, are permanently secured in the mouth and treated and cleaned just like natural teeth.
Rather than simply resting on top of the gums, implant-supported dentures are anchored securely with dental implants that use tiny titanium screws to fix into the jawbone.
The implant-secured dentures provide structural support and stability that drastically reduces bone loss throughout the jaw using this specific technique.
