Paying for veneers

One porcelain veneer:

1 veneer = £900
£900 on dental finance over 12 months (0%) costs £75 per month.
When not using finance, you would be expected to pay 50% upfront (£450) and the remaining 50% upon completion.
By parting paying, patients can pay a 50% deposit upfront and use the 12 months interest-free pay the remaining £450 – charged at £37.50 per month.

A full set of porcelain veneers (six teeth):

Each veneer charged at £900 x 6 = £5,400.
£5,400 on dental finance over 12 months (0%) would cost £450 per month.
By part paying, you can pay a £2,000 deposit (upfront) and use the 12 months interest-free to pay the remaining £3,400 – charged at £283.33 per month.

A loan of £5,400.00 over 12 months would cost you £450.00 per month at a representative 0.0% APR. The total amount of credit would be £5,400.00, to which we would add £0.00 (0.0% p.a.). This means the total cost of your treatment after 12 months would be £5,400.00. If you were take out the loan today, you’d pay the first £450.00 upfront, and then 11 payments of £450.00 each month.

What veneers can fix

Dental veneers are often thin, porcelain shells that sit on the tooth’s front surface (unlike a crown which covers the entire tooth and requires significant tooth removal).

On the other hand, veneers will only require a slight eradication of enamel (often only the size of the surface, which can be as small as 0.3mm).

Veneers are the preferred system to mask many smile imperfections, including:

Crooked or misaligned teeth
Worn, chipped or broken teeth
Protruding or overlapping teeth
Staining, discolouration or fluorosis
Gaps between teeth and narrow smiles

Porcelain is supreme

Whilst porcelain veneers will require slight tooth preparation – this is often very minimal. Porcelain veneers are more advanced than their counterparts.

Using brands like Durathin, Ultrathin and Lumineers, we only need to remove the tiniest amount of enamel, which is comparable to the thickness of a fingernail (from 0.2mm to 0.5mm).

Composite veneers are often the go-to choice for patients looking for a cheaper alternative to porcelain. Plus, it’s perfect for patients who are not ready to make permanent changes to their smile.

Composite veneers are directly applied to the tooth and cause no permanent damage. The treatment is reversible, which means they’ll need to be replaced or maintained every 3-5 years.

The veneer procedure

The entire veneer procedure requires three appointments, including your first initial consultation.

It’s normal for gums to feel slightly sore following the procedure, but any discomfort is expected to subside within a few days and is managed by over-the-counter pain relief.
