IV sedation costs from £500
Here for nervous patients
Intravenous sedation is a conscious sedation, sometimes referred to as twilight sedation is a common type of pain control, which can relax you to the point of falling asleep.
IV sedation is typically used in short, less complex procedures where an injection of local anaesthetic is not enough, but general anaesthesia isn’t necessary.
At Maida Smiles, we can use it in our practice for patients who are scared, anxious or nervous about upcoming procedures like dental implants.
With IV sedation, patients are in a completely relaxed state – and whilst this method of pain control doesn’t put you under, patients often feel so relaxed they nod off.
The reason this monitored anaesthesia care works so well is because patients are left with little or no memory of the procedure, and no memory = no painful or bad experience to remember.
