It’s recommended that you see a dentist as soon as possible to preserve the integrity of your underlying tooth, which will be left exposed if the veneer has fallen off.
As a thin portion of enamel has been removed, your tooth might feel sensitive. However, that said, a broken veneer is not always classed as an emergency, as the underlying tooth is not in immediate or serious danger.
But we understand for aesthetic purposes that a broken veneer should be treated quickly and efficiently so you can progress with your day-to-day.
We particularly advise seeing the dentist if:
- Most of the veneer has fractured, broken, cracked, crazed or chipped.
- A portion of the veneer has broken off.
- The veneer has completely debonded (come off).
