Dental Bridge in London

Replace missing teeth without surgery

‍

When working with our dental specialists, we’ll use custom dental bridges to restore your smile and improve the bite’s function and aesthetics. We’ll also plan your restorative treatment to improve the appearance of gaps left by missing teeth and prevent your remaining teeth from shifting out of place. Whatever the extent of your tooth loss, we can complete your smile in as little as 2 visits.

Cost of a dental bridge

Single tooth bridge from £1,050

A bridge is priced per unit. Replacing one tooth costs from £1,050 per unit, and replacing two teeth with a single bridge typically costs around £2,000. Implant-supported bridges start from £2,000 to replace up to two teeth.

The final price depends on how many teeth are being replaced, the materials used and the lab fees. A check-up and scans are needed first, so we can confirm which type of bridge suits you.

You can spread the cost with 0% finance over 12 months, from £87.50 per month with no deposit. See the full price list for every treatment.

How a dental bridge is made

Consultation and planning

Your dentist examines the gap and the teeth either side, and takes scans and x-rays to check the health of the teeth and the bone.

We then explain which type of bridge suits you and give you a clear price before any treatment begins.

Preparing the teeth

Under local anaesthetic, the teeth either side of the gap are gently reshaped so crowns can fit over them. Impressions or a digital scan are then taken for the laboratory.

Temporary bridge

A temporary bridge protects the prepared teeth and fills the gap while your permanent bridge is made, which usually takes around two weeks.

Fitting your permanent bridge

At your second visit the final bridge is checked for fit, colour and bite, then fixed in place. With good brushing, flossing under the bridge and regular hygiene visits, a bridge can last many years.

Dental bridge or dental implant?

A traditional bridge is a quick, non-surgical way to replace missing teeth, but it relies on the healthy teeth either side, which have to be reshaped to hold the crowns.

An implant-supported bridge is anchored to implants in the jaw, so neighbouring teeth are left untouched and the jawbone is better protected.

Bridges can need repair or replacement over a lifetime, while implants generally need less maintenance, though they involve a short surgical procedure and a longer treatment time.

A Maryland bridge, which is bonded behind the neighbouring teeth with minimal preparation, can suit some patients, usually for front teeth.

The right option depends on the position of the gap, the health of your teeth and gums and your budget. Your dentist will talk you through each one at your consultation.
