What can veneers fix?

Let’s Talk Custom Smiles

Dental veneers are thin, porcelain shells that sit on the tooth’s front surface (unlike a crown, which covers the entire tooth and requires significant tooth removal).

Veneers will only require a slight eradication of enamel (often only the size of the veneer being placed, which can be as small as 0.3mm).

Veneers are the preferred system to mask many smile imperfections, including:

  • Crooked or misaligned teeth
  • Worn, chipped/broken teeth
  • Protruding/overlapping teeth
  • Stained/discoloured teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Narrow smiles & small teeth

The veneer procedure

SAME DAY VENEERS AVAILABLE

The entire veneer procedure requires three appointments, including your first initial consultation. Unless opting for immediate composite veneers, which take just one appointment to place.

Patients often undergo local anaesthetic to prevent discomfort or sensitivity during the procedure, even though the process is generally considered minimally invasive.

It’s normal for gums to feel slightly sore following the procedure, but any discomfort is expected to subside within a few days and is managed by over-the-counter pain relief.

Procedure steps

The application and actual veneer procedure will only take one appointment and requires minimal recovery time.

The veneer process is broken down into 3 simple stages:

  • Match tooth shade, take x-rays and examine the mouth’s condition.
  • Next, prepare the teeth and position the required number of veneers (trial smile opportunity).
  • Finally, veneers are permanently secured and reviewed.
