What are porcelain veneers?
Porcelain veneers are thin pieces of strong, tooth-coloured shells specially crafted in a dental laboratory.

They do not require the removal of vital tooth structure, but rather, a maximum of 0.5mm of the tooth’s enamel.

How thick are porcelain veneers?
Without having to worry about thick, bulky veneers, our patients can rest assured that their porcelain veneers can be as thin as just 0.3 millimetres.

One limitation of porcelain veneers patients should be aware of is that they are not easily repairable, say if they were chipped. In this case, patients might require a new replacement veneer.
